01/14/2012 - Aransas Pass

Spencer, Tres and myself fished the outside of Dagger and the California Hole Flats a while Saturday.The water was blown out and very cold.We fished the channels that had a little black grass on the bottom. We managed to catch 12 trout (only one over 15")using Corkies and Gulp Tails.

The Reich brothers recently kayaked a couple of days around Wilsons Cut. Reds, Trout and Flounder were caught on live shrimp. One flounder was real nice not measured or weighed but consumed vigorously Saturday night.

Sergio and crew caught a Blacktip and a bull shark on the Galveston surf this weekend.Both fish were caught on the 2A4 leader.Great job of catch and release

Malin and friends slammed em in the surf.Limits of slot reds until dark, then it got really good. Bull Reds in the wade gut on finger mullet until around mid night. Saturday morn brought winds 20 to 25 mph. The bait was gone so were the Red's. the group ended up with 33 slot Reds and 1 trout for good measure

Malin and friends slammed em in the surf.Limits of slot reds until dark, then it got really good. Bull Reds in the wade gut on finger mullet until around mid night. Saturday morn brought winds 20 to 25 mph. The bait was gone so were the Red's. the group ended up with 33 slot Reds and 1 trout for good measure

John P and cohorts were preparing to fish the Sharkathon on Friday when lo and behold he caught a shark. 5'10 Blacktip caught on a 1/0 senator with 20# line. Said fight lasted about an hour and moved down the beach about a half mile

Tres and Traci Stork, Kevin, Susie, Gabby and David Espinosa had a great day fishing South Bay. Using live mullet they managed full limits of Red's and a lot of fellowship at the cleaning table

HOT! trout to 14 inches one after another on piggies.
Doug, Tres and Traci with others had a great time fishing for Tarpon out of Port O'conner last weekend catching 9 Tarpon and winning the tournament, great going
Praying for rain and some cooler temperatures soon.
It's almost time for Sharkathon, everyone i have talked to is gearing up and getting ready. I'll be there for a while Sunday at the pay-out hope to see you there Michael

Water low, wind out of south/southeast 10 to 20, water clear.
13 trout only 1 keeper (released)
2 hardheads
Talked to Brent at Ace in the Hole, said trout deep, he will concentrate on reds.

Had a chance to fish for several days
7/13...trout to 23 in.on croaker. Not a lot of fish caught but of a good size
7/15...fished Long Reef area with Brent Hopkins (Ace In The Hole) with my wife Marguerite, boxed about 15 trout and one Black Tip. South wind had water dirtied up but a good time had by all
7/16...Horace Caldwell Pier, lots of small Bonnet heads being caught, Marguerite hooked and lost two Large somthings that went under the pier and wrapped around the legs
7/18...Solid trout to 21 in. with a few hard heads and a big Gaff
7/19...Same, trout to 20 in. and a few more hard heads
A group from the trailer park went off shore on the 18th and hammered
the red snapper.
Thie has been fun but I guess I better go back to work
