OSI Food Solutions is one of the world’s largest producers of meat products. They have operations in Holland, Spain, Australia, the United States, and many more places in Europe.
One of the big acquisition of the last two years was Baho Foods.
The announcement of the acquisition came on August 8th 2017, and was one of many purchases in 2017. The President of OSI Group David McDonald called the purchase an opportunity to further expand their operations in Europe. Baho Foods is based in Holland and produces deli meats, snacks, and other convenience foods.
Baho foods has been around for a long time: 60 years. Baho Foods also has subsidiaries in Germany and the Netherlands, meaning it is a huge purchase of OSI Food Solutions. Five companies come with the purchase including Gelderlad Frischwaren, Vital Convenience, Henri van de Bilt, and Bakx Foods.
The managing partner at Baho foods called the purchase a transaction that will accelerate their growth strategy and will help both sides reach their goals.

The ceremony was held at Drapers’ Hall in London at the end of the year. The award is sanctioned by the British Safety Council.
The award was presented by Mike Robinson, a Chief Executive of the British Safety Council. Kelly Grimwood, the Environmental Manager at the European division of OSI, accepted the award on behalf of the entire company.
OSI Food Solutions also won the Glove of Honour in 2013 and 2015.
David McDonald is the current President and COO of the company. He received a degree in Animal Science from Iowa State University.
